Cybersecurity Student | Aspiring Penetration Tester

I'm building a foundation in offensive security through structured coursework, self-directed labs, and platforms like TryHackMe and Hack The Box — while keeping a working understanding of defensive security and SOC operations.

About

I'm currently completing a Diplôme de Technicien Spécialisé (DTS) in Digital Infrastructure / Cybersecurity at OFPPT. My focus is offensive security — understanding how systems and networks get compromised so I can eventually help find and fix those weaknesses professionally as a penetration tester.

My learning approach is practical: rather than only studying theory, I work through structured rooms and machines on TryHackMe and Hack The Box, and rebuild what I learn in a home lab. I also keep an active interest in defensive security — understanding how a SOC analyst reads the same activity from the other side helps me think about offense more realistically.

My near-term goal is a junior penetration tester or red team role. I'm also open to SOC Analyst / Blue Team positions as a path into the industry while I continue building toward more advanced offensive security certifications.
